The Cut-up Method is a series exploring the creative technique popularized by infamous counterculture icon William S. Burroughs referred to as the “cut-up.” Burroughs became obsessed with this method creating both text and image based cut-ups which filled countless binders in his home.
In this episode I build my own cut-up and use it as inspiration for a new photographic image. Join me as I construct my cut-up, evaluate the results, formulate an idea, and make a new image based on my cut-up.
